Neringa Rūkė starts every morning with knitting. Not to produce. To think. Her brand, Rūkė Knit, is named for fog: layered, soft, and quietly powerful. It is an accurate description of both the work and the woman behind it.
She came to knitwear through costume design and film, which explains why her pieces sit somewhere between garment and atmosphere. Sculptural but wearable. Minimal but present. She works in natural sheep wool almost exclusively, valuing grip and honesty over softness for its own sake.
