Dear First name / Friend,
Can I be honest with you?
This first half of 2026 has been a lot.
Good things, meaningful things — but a lot. I moved out of my house for three months during a remodel. My dog needed ACL surgery. I wrapped up a big leadership cycle with our giving circle. I completed an advanced somatic touch training. My daughter is getting married next month. I'm in a new relationship. And somewhere in between all of it, I've been showing up for my clients, recording episodes, and trying to show up for myself too.
And even with a list full of things I love and chose — I've felt a heaviness coming and going. Not a heaviness I want to push through or explain away. One I've been trying to listen to.
Because here's what I know: our bodies are always communicating. Through tension, fatigue, a low-grade dread we can't quite name, or a flatness that settles in even when life looks good on paper. The problem isn't that our bodies go quiet. It's that the world gets louder so we stop hearing them.
You've made it to the halfway point of the year. That deserves more than a glance at your to-do list.
Before you map out the next six months, I want to invite you to do something most of us skip entirely — pause and actually feel where you are right now.
Not just what you've accomplished. But how you're doing. Whether you're energized or depleted. Grounded or just getting through. Genuinely okay, or performing okay for everyone around you.
Your free mid-year gift: the Mid-Year Check-In Journal Guide
I created a free, two-page journal guide with three prompts designed to help you do exactly that — and it only takes about 15 minutes.
These aren't your typical reflection questions. They're designed to be felt before they're answered. To help you honor what you've carried in the first half of this year, name what's quietly draining you, and choose one soulful intention — not just a goal — for the months ahead.
No lengthy program. No overwhelm. Just you, your journal, and fifteen minutes to actually arrive in the second half of your year.
Want to go deeper?
The prompts pair beautifully with this week's solo podcast episode, where I walk through what's happening biologically during burnout, three somatic practices you can use today — including one for your vagus nerve that takes less than two minutes — and the same journal prompts I'm working through right alongside you.
Because realignment doesn't require a complete life overhaul. It rarely does. It usually begins with one honest question: What is my body trying to tell me right now?
When we slow down enough to listen — and respond with curiosity instead of criticism — something shifts. Decisions get clearer. The weight lifts a little. You stop moving through your days on autopilot and start actually choosing them.
That's what this work is about. And it's what I want for you in the next six months.
Ready for more support?
If this resonated and you're curious about what it might look like to do this work with me — I'd love to chat. I currently have a few openings for 1:1 somatic coaching this summer.
It's a free call. No pressure. Just a real conversation about where you are, where you want to go, and whether working together makes sense.
