How Walli booked 4 sales calls after posting *one* video:

True story. 
 
Walli is a financial educator and coach for people in corporate careers to help them retire early.
 
She is a first generation millionaire who retired by 40 working a government job and managed to do what most people only dream of. 
 
She’d post content doing funny skits, sharing educational tips on personal finance as well as announcing her workshops to get clients to come through.

Although after some time, her lead flow through Instagram slowed down. 
 
She thought to herself 

Well my audience hasn’t grown, that could be it.” 
 
Instagram is dead, that’s not where I get clients. I get clients through podcasting.”
 
And that’s when she booked a shoot with me.
 

What I recognized in Walli, was how she was an anomaly. 
 
She lived in one of he most expensive cities in America, New York City.
 
She is a Latina.
 
First generation college student and now millionaire. 
 
And she did it all before the age of 40. 
 
Meaning - there were sooo many barriers she had already overcome that made her so aspirational. 
 
BUT! The way she was presenting wasn’t really selling the dream in that way. 
 
The content came off like “ok that’s good to know” but it seemed like a soulless article from Forbes telling you more things you should be doing but you don’t really see how it can be possible for you.

So what we did was create some brand images of her looking like a BABE in the streets of New York and showing off a more aspirational version of who she is, or how she can have a Chanel bag because she is a millionaire like that.
 
We also created an about video edited in an artistic way so her audience isn’t bored with: 

“Ugh, more educational boring personal finance content” 
 
It was more like “HEY I WAS ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS. AND YOU CAN TOO. LET’S MAKE THIS FUN AND APPROACHABLE.”
 
And boom. She booked a total of 4 sales calls after posting *one* video.

That is what activated her current audience. 
 
It presented her as aspirational  AND approachable.
 
Which is a contrast you want to have in your brand.
 
If you can show your audience what you’re capable of AND bring it home to show that they can do it too - that is what yields engagement. 
 
As well as introducing a new type of content where your growth and evolution is seen and it’s FELT. 
 
Most of you have people ready to inquire from you, it’s simply a matter of speaking to them in a format that’s the sweet spot of authentic and aspirational in one.
