I never expected this.
Hi friend,
After Bill's recent health scare, I've found myself thinking about something I never expected to spend so much time reflecting on: What would I miss most if he were suddenly gone?
The answer surprised me.
- It wasn't the big milestones or the once-in-a-lifetime memories.
- It was the little things.
- The everyday moments that seem so ordinary while we're living them.
So I asked all of you what you miss most about someone you've loved and lost.
You made me cry (many times).
Your responses were beautiful, heartbreaking, and incredibly eye-opening. More than once, I found myself in tears reading them.
In this episode, I share some of those responses, along with an unexpected lesson from an ancient art form that has really impacted me this week.
This is good.
If you're walking through grief, a difficult season, a waiting season, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, I hope this conversation encourages you.
My prayer is that it helps you slow down long enough to notice the gifts that are already in front of you, appreciate the people you love a little more deeply, and find hope even in the middle of really ugly, hard things.
One of the biggest takeaways for me was a deep contentment in the fact that joy and sorrow often exist side by side. Even on our hardest days, there are still beautiful things worth noticing.
I'd love for you to listen and tell me what resonates most with you.
