One of the sneakiest ways to spot trends is right in the palm of your hand, and you probably didn't realize it. 

 

Follow industry leaders on Instagram. ✨

 

But here's the key: instead of mindlessly scrolling on your feed, actually pay attention to what they're posting.

 

For us surface designers, a perfect example is my agency, Jewel Branding & Licensing. They're one of the biggest licensing agencies in the biz, and their Instagram is an absolute goldmine.

 

Every now and then, they'll post a carousel of artwork from the artists they represent, all centered around a trend they've spotted. And let me tell you, it's like getting a peek at the trend forecast straight from the source.

 

The other day, the theme was moons + celestial vibes 🌙✨ (and I mayyyy have spotted my own work in the lineup! 😍)
