Hey wild one,

I've been craving salt air lately. The kind that tangles your hair and leaves a thin layer of ocean on your skin. Long dinners that begin at sunset and somehow end hours later. Jungle paths. Bright flowers. The simple pleasure of having nowhere important to be.

Until I can get there, I've been finding small ways to bring summer home.

This week, that looked like a Strawberry Lemon Drop Martini made with fresh strawberries, lemon, and Grey Goose Le Citron. The kind of cocktail that belongs beside a pool, on a shaded patio, or next to a book you're pretending you'll put down after one more chapter.
Speaking of books...

Every now and then a book finds exactly the right reader at exactly the right time. Slewfoot was that book for me. Dark forests. Witchcraft. Puritans. Female rage. Freedom. If you love atmospheric stories that linger long after the final page, you'll want to add it to your list.

I've also found myself fully back in my reading era. What started with Maeve Fly has turned into a full-blown stack of thrillers, gothic novels, and folk horror waiting beside the bed.

No complaints.

Sometimes the best seasons of life are the ones where you're simply collecting stories.

Soon, I'll be writing to you from somewhere between the ocean and the jungle.

Until then, may your drinks stay cold and your books impossible to put down.

Next stop: Puerto Vallarta.
Soon, I'll be trading trauma bays for ocean views.
One minute I'll be walking hospital hallways under fluorescent lights. The next, I'll be sitting somewhere between the jungle and the sea with a book in one hand and something cold to drink in the other.

ᛃ Almanac ᛃ

This week's observations:
• Strawberries at their peak
• Roses refusing to quit blooming
• Suitcases waiting by the bedroom door
• The feeling that something good is just over the horizon
• Summer arriving all at once
Stay Wild,
