"I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art."                                 — Helena Bonham Carter  Recently I've been thinking a lot about how art and creativity are still things people say "I'm not" or "I can't" about. And in a way, I find this so hard to agree with. I know I'm not good at everything — we all have skills that suit certain hobbies or paths in life, and that's just the nature of being human. Art, like anything else, is a skill that grows with training, practice and love.  But creativity? That's something different. That's something we all possess. We cannot be human without it.  The quote above says it so clearly — every day we make creative choices, sometimes without even noticing. The way we arrange things, the food we make, the way we tell a story. It's all there, quietly happening.  That's why I feel it's so important to say it out loud: art and creativity are for everyone. Not just for the few.  |

So on that note, here is your gentle creative prompt this month:  Think about your everyday creative choices — how you dress, wear your hair, how you arrange the flowers on the windowsill, what music you put on while cooking dinner.  Whatever it is, it's creative. It's yours. And it's art.  If you fancy, take a photo and send it to me — I would love to see your everyday art.  |

This month I attended a paper collage session at Glasgow Collage Club with my friend Lynne (click her name to check out her jewellery!).  It was a really chill, easy-going and enjoyable evening — one I would absolutely do again. The venue, House of Toad, is lovely too!  |

I'm also so excited to share that I am hosting my very first wildflower circle in the next couple of weeks — a small, informal gathering to make, chat and just be creative together. It's taking place in the studio at GOMA, with a wonderful group who meet there every month.  I've been setting up and practising at home and I cannot wait. A little sneak peek in the photo above — and I'll bring images and hopefully good vibes to the next newsletter!  |

June's arty wander took us to GOMA on a really lovely morning.  As always we started with a cuppa and a chat before taking in the exhibitions — and as always, the conversation was just as good as the art!  Thank you so much to those who came along and made it such an enjoyable and interesting morning. One well worth having.  |

July's Arty Wander is taking us somewhere I have always wanted to visit — The Alchemy Experiment on Byres Road in Glasgow's West End.  We'll be meeting on Sunday 26th July at 11.15am, starting with a cuppa before taking in whatever is on the walls.  Very informal, very relaxed — everyone is welcome, whether it's your first time or your fifth!  |

Thank you, as always, to those who have been in touch recently — sharing your creative discoveries, your everyday making, and your kind words about the newsletter. It genuinely means so much.  I always come away reminded that creativity is everywhere, in the quietest, most ordinary moments, if we just take a moment to notice.  Perhaps we are all more creative than we give ourselves credit for.  With warmth, Louise  "You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have." — Maya Angelou  If you know someone who might enjoy Where Wildflowers Grow — or who'd love to join a Wildflower Circle one day — feel free to share this along to them. The more, the merrier. 🌸   |
