Summer is here! ☀️
More daylight, more people outside, and more chances for connection. I crave moving slower, staying up later, lightening up my routines. And for many of us, this is hard to do.
We hold mental "to do" lists (and if you are like me, paper ones too). Our brains still feel like they are trying to keep track and keep up.
This is your reminder that disconnecting is part of the work.
"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you." — Anne Lamott
Even a few hours away from the “stuff” can restore something in you that the humans in your life need. The relationships you invest in… at work, at home, in your community… are fed by a you that is rested, present, and refueled.
A Next Step
What does disconnecting actually look like for you? Now. This summer, specifically. A morning without your phone? A week without your laptop? Name it. Put it on the calendar. And then actually do it. The beautiful humans in your life will thank you.
