✨ Today we covered:
✅ What accountability actually looks like: Your VA should be sending you a morning message every single day with what they are working on, and a recap at the end of the day. No guessing, no chasing. If you do not have that structure in place yet, now is the time to set it.
✅ Hire for creative, train on admin: When you are weighing candidates, lead with their creative skills. Someone who is a strong video editor or designer can be trained to update your CRM or send emails. But you cannot train someone to think creatively if that is not how their brain works. Hire for the gift, build the rest.
✅ Systems before you hire, every time: Bringing someone onto your team before you have systems in place means hiring into chaos. The buyer workflows we are building next are exactly what will make it easy for someone to plug into your business and know what to do.
✅ You are training a role, not just a person: The way you train your first VA is how that ROLE will run long after them. As your team grows, your first hire becomes the trainer for the next. Invest in teaching them well now, because you are building the foundation for everything that comes after.
✅ Veem and Toggle, know them: Veem is the recommended tool for paying international VAs. It is not connected to your bank account directly and avoids the security concerns that come with other platforms. Toggle is the recommended time tracking tool so you can see where your VA's hours are being spent without having to micromanage.
✅ Branding guide check-in: We did a quick accountability round on the lesson's homework. If you have not finished your pink branding worksheet and Canva branding guide yet, that is the priority this week. Your VA cannot be trained, tested, or given real tasks until you have this in place.
