Check out some of our beautiful new brand photos from LeeAnn K Photography in this week's email, plus some miscellaneous tidbits about us. With the kind of work we do, deciding whether to hire us is not just a question of whether we have the skills and expertise to tackle your project or whether the price is right, but whether we are aligned in personality, values, or, in our case, dog obsession. You don't have to be dog-obsessed to work with us, but if you hate dogs, you probably won't love working with us.
We're talking about the vibe check. We think we do a pretty decent job putting our vibe into most, if not all, of our emails and social posts, but sometimes it's fun to do something purely for the vibes.
What music are you listening to recently?
Nathan: Boards of Canada - Inferno (This has been on repeat in the car when I'm alone because I know Sam hates the “beep boop” music, 😂)
Sam: I've been loving the newest album from Tank and the Bangas - The Last Balloon
Jeanie: I mostly enjoy that experimental sound artist, ME, doing different renditions of Licking My Paws
What are you READING?
Nathan: The Dying Earth Series by Jack Vance
Sam: Saltcrop by Yume Katasei (I'm enjoying reading a novel again after a long stretch of nonfiction. The writing here is excellent, but there's a post-apocalyptic twinge to this story that has become a bit too real in recent years. My brain will be seeking recommendations for some frivolous nonsense for the rest of the summer.)
Jeanie: Reading?! Are you kidding me? If I could read, I would not bump into things all day everyday
What's Your Current Favorite snack?
Nathan: Gluten-free Cheez-its (IYKYK)
Sam: It's a tie between my forever fave string cheese and the Clio greek yogurt bars my niece and sister got me hooked on
Jeanie: Freeze-dried quail egg yolks or whatever mommy and daddy are eating
What are you working on?
Nathan: Fine-tuning a client's artwork photos
Sam: Wrapping up two website audits to deliver by the end of the week, and getting started on the map and program for this year's Swissvale Edible Garden Tour
Jeanie: Staying cute, obviously
What is something you are looking forward to?
Nathan: Camping in the woods
Sam: Family vacation in CA later this summer for a respite from the depths of humid misery that will happen in Pittsburgh at that time, and seeing our nieces and nephew who are all brilliant and highly entertaining
Jeanie: Bedtime, and whatever mommy and daddy are eating
We've been sending these weekly emails for a whole year! There was only one week we missed unintentionally - oops - but that's a pretty solid success rate.
The feedback we've gotten has been great, but what do you think? Do you like our regular themes of sharing local art exhibitions, behind-the-scenes, and features on our clients? What about this format of sharing a little bit more about us? Is there something you'd like to see more of? Hit reply and let us know.
