Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer Subsidy Program |
|
The Auraria Sustainable Campus Program (ASCP) is excited to announce the official launch of the Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) Freezer Subsidy Program through our Green Labs program. Please help us spread the word by sharing this email with your department and colleagues. Ultra-low temperature freezers are among the most energy-intensive pieces of equipment found in research laboratories. To promote energy efficiency, the ASCP is now offering subsidies of up to $3,500 per ULT freezer to assist laboratories in purchasing qualifying high-efficiency ULT freezers. These freezers can reduce energy consumption by up to 70% compared to conventional models, helping to lower costs while reducing campus emissions. The subsidy program is open to all institutions across campus. Priority will be given to laboratories replacing older ULT freezers, though requests for new freezer capacity with demonstrated need are also encouraged to apply. Applications will be accepted during two funding cycles each year: - Fall: September 17 – October 30 (Awards announced November 7)
- Winter: January 18 – February 28 (Awards announced March 7)
To learn more about eligibility requirements, the application process, and qualifying equipment, please click the link below. If you have any questions, please reach out to greenlabs@ahec.edu. |
