There is something almost comic about asking an algorithm for help with crafts that predate electricity by several thousand years. And yet the combination is more useful than it has any right to be.
AI won't replace the stitch, the row, the warp, the knot. It can't feel the yarn, read the tension, or know when to unravel three inches and start over. That part remains entirely, stubbornly human.
What it can do: a large language model for pattern math and troubleshooting at 11pm when no one in your making group is awake.
