August is shaping up to be another exciting month at First Southwest Community Fund as we continue investing in the people, businesses, and organizations that make rural Colorado strong.

 

In this issue, we’re sharing a success story about Launchpad that highlights the power of youth support and mentorship in helping students turn ideas into businesses and help drive rural Colorado's economic resilience.

 

We’re also sharing two free educational opportunities this month—Pioneer Path, an 8-week virtual program for entrepreneurs looking to refine ideas and strengthen their businesses, and Troubled Loans, a workshop designed to help business owners better understand and navigate the stress of financial challenges - and know when to reach out to your lender.

We also have funds ready to deploy through our Climber Loan Fund, providing flexible working capital to established rural Colorado businesses looking to grow, overcome challenges, and create lasting economic impact in their communities.

 

Upcoming in person events include a Latina Village AI focused event in Denver and the San Luis Valley Nonprofit Regional Convening, where leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers will come together to share ideas and strengthen rural Colorado.
