EXHIBITIONS/EVENTS
100 Moments Project founded by the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA), is a non-juried collection of work capturing a moment in time created by SAMA’s diverse and richly creative membership. This season, SAMA invited partnering organizations to the open call to create 6″x6″ works using materials of the artists’ choice, using their original designs. Work will be presented from members of these four partners in the arts: Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA), Stained Glass Association of America (SGAA), Glass Art Society (GAS), and International Society of Glass Bead Makers) (ISGB). The work of seasoned professionals will be displayed alongside enthusiastic newcomers to the mosaic, mixed media, stained glass, glass bead, and fused glass making processes, culminating in 100+ moments of life rendered by artists from all over the world.
@Pittsburgh Glass Corner, Opens July 3, 6 - 9pm

The CC Store Refresh Contemporary Craft's Store has been under construction this summer, and they invite you to the unveiling of its new look, a new range of artist-made pieces, and to celebrate a new stage for the Store. They’ll still carry the hand-crafted housewares, artworks, and gifts that you expect, but with larger collections from slightly fewer artists, thoughtfully curated to help you discover new favorites and learn even more about the artists you already love.
@Contemporary Craft, July 16, 6 - 8pm

Dayenu: It Would Have Been Enough, by Louise Silk is a career capstone exhibition featuring an all-new body of work being shown together for the first time. The exhibition features hand-sewn works, including art quilts, scrap quilts, flags, kaftans, portraits, and pillows, all made from repurposed fabrics. By working with both her own scraps and found textiles, Silk “brings together separate events and recollections that all contribute to a meaningful visual expression of my life.”
@Brew House Arts, opens July 16, 6 - 8:30pm
