✨ Today we covered:
✅ What skills are and where they live: Skills are sets of instructions that tell Claude exactly how to complete a specific task for you. They can live inside a specific project or at the account level so you can use them across any chat.
✅ How to trigger a skill: Every skill has a forward slash command you type to activate it. You can also set up specific phrases that trigger it automatically so it feels totally seamless.
✅ What every skill needs: A good skill has four things: a trigger description, the steps you want Claude to follow, the output format you want, and examples. The more specific you are in each of these, the better and more consistent your results.
✅ Seeing a skill in action: We watched the listing skill work through a real listing, pulling captions, carousel content, open house details, and more in just a few minutes from one prompt.
✅ The SS Build My Skill tool: You don't have to build skills from scratch. After downloading the skill, type /ssbuildmyskill in any chat and Claude will interview you, ask the right questions, and write the skill for you. There are four modes: carousels, reels, listings, and custom.
✅ Claude accounts and team setup: If your agent is already using Claude and doesn't want things mixed up, the best solution is a team account setup. Your agent keeps her account, you get added as a team member, and projects can be shared between you without touching her existing setup.
✅ Video editing tools the team uses: CapCut is the go-to for video editing. The Edits app (directly from Instagram) is also great because you can post straight from the app when you're done.
