Dear Friend,
"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
—2 Chronicles 7:14
As our nation celebrates 250 years of independence, we find ourselves reflecting on a different kind of milestone — the quiet, faithful work God has been doing through Serenity for 25 years. Two numbers, one calling: to be a people set apart, a remnant still enough to hear Him, in a nation and a season that need it more than ever.
In this month's newsletter, you'll read stories that trace that same thread of faithfulness on a smaller, more personal scale — a mentor who came to serve and found herself set free, a Community Chat that turned a living room into holy ground, and a woman whose unexpected path to Serenity became the very community and healing she didn't know she needed. Together, they remind us that God is always doing more than we expect, often through the simplest gifts of hospitality, honesty, and presence.
We also invite you to join us in praying for Serenity's Board and staff as we discern our next Executive Director — trusting the same God who has carried this ministry for 25 years to carry it faithfully into what's next.
Whether you're marking this Independence Day with fireworks and gratitude, or simply asking the Lord what He requires of you in this hour, we pray these reflections stir your heart toward Him. He has never needed a majority to move a nation — only a few who will humble themselves, pray, seek, and turn.
Thank you for being part of the Serenity family, and for being part of the remnant He is gathering. Happy Independence Day, Family of God.
