Well, hello and good morning to you! Go get that coffee and let's catch up! I'm sitting here in a peacefully quiet house and loving it so much! The boys have a super-early tee time, the girls are still asleep and not one creature is making a sound. Ahhhhh….

 

My soul needs alone time. I was raised as an only child. I grew up waaaaay out in the country (with no technology and no friends within walking distance). I got my own place after school and lived blissfully alone until I was 29. Then WHAM-O! I had a family of five within two years  - and I still haven't adjusted to the chaos! Haha!! Wondering how that math works?? I got Big Girl with Husband then had Baby Girl and The Boy within 18 months of each other.

 

Anyway, I love the quiet and I'm enjoying it this morning!

 

Here are some of the things I cooked for the family last week sprinkled with a few things I've been craving but haven't had time to make!

Oh, I didn't tell y'all this! I didn't create anything new this week because I am redoing the kids' bathroom and it's about to WHIP ME! And I mean beat me with a belt and hit me with a frying pan BEAT ME!

 

It's an oddly large bathroom with a big dormer window (and lots of wonky angles) and I decided we needed to scrape the popcorn ceilings on top of pulling down the 30-yr old wallpaper. I regret taking this on with every aching bone in my body! I am too old for the yoga poses and ladder climbing required to do all of this! Baby Girl is helping but LORD, it's a chore! I've had to make so many drywall repairs I've gone through two quarts of spackling! Anyway, we should be ready to start painting tomorrow so hopefully I can share some pics with you! 

 

Thanks for being with me this morning! I hope I didn't seem too glum whining about alone time! I love people and have major extrovert tendencies but I have to recharge from time to time! 

 

ALSO!! I'm still working on getting caught up with email! But I meant it when I said I don't like to rush through those. Y'all take care and wish me luck on this bathroom!
