21 EVERY DAYS

Welcome to the first week of our project! The first day is tomorrow, 7/12. Here are the week's prompts if you'd like to start brainstorming or get a head start!

Every week there will be a theme for the prompts. Each prompt is followed by some ideas to help you begin. (If you need some help with what and how to fill in your section, please refer to prep post 2.) Prompts are open to your interpretation and optional to use! Feel free to use them all, a few when you need them, or not at all.

The prompts from this season will be different from the last. If you'd like to use the same prompts from season 1, you can find all the prompts here

If you'd like a prompt that's similar but not exactly the same, I suggest typing season 1's prompts into the thesaurus so you're following the same theme as before but picking a new word to spark different ideas!

Let's get started!

WEEK 1 | SHARING THE SEASON

Every season brings with it its own characteristics and personality, the familiar as well as the new, the things we love and embrace, and the things we could do without!

We all take in and express things in our own unique way and are a very diverse group representing different countries, cities, cultures, interests, and so much more. This week is about letting others into your world, to experience summer / winter (depending on where you live) through your eyes!

As always, the prompts can be used in a variety of ways--literal, abstract, as a starting point, or even the opposite can be used. Interpret them in a way that works for you!

DAILY PROMPTS FOR THE WEEK

Sunday | Day 1
OUTSIDE
The exterior, beyond a boundary
What do you see when you look outside your window? What's the weather like? What do you wear to go out? How can you create something outside the box of what you normally do, color outside the lines?

Monday | Day 2
INSIDE
Situated within an interior, an enclosed space, defined limits
Is there somewhere you like to go this time of year? What did you do today when you were inside? Did you have to use certain appliances or furniture because of the season? Find inspiration inside--a book, your home, your mailbox, a cabinet or closet in your home. How are you feeling internally?

Tuesday | Day 3
ACTIVITIES
A specific task, action, or pursuit
What activities do you enjoy or are able to do this month? What are you limited to doing? What hobby or daily chores are part of your day? What did you do today? What's a common activity in your part of the world now?

Wednesday | Day 4
ITINERARY
The route of a journey or the proposed outline of one, a traveler's guidebook
What's your schedule for the day like? Is your planner full of plans or more relaxed this time of year? Find inspiration in the sun or moon, mercury being in retrograde, and other types of calendars we may follow.

Thursday | Day 5
CYCLES
An interval of time during which a sequence of a recurring succession of events or phenomena is completed, a circular or spiral arrangement
What cycles do you see around you (in nature, in the garden, in your life, in your artistic practice, etc.) and what phase are they in now? What was your rhythm and flow like today? Find inspiration in circular and spiral shapes and patterns.

Friday | Day 6
DELIGHT
What are the things you love about this season and the things you could do without? How did they show up in your day today? What did you find delight in? What are you not a fan of that happens this time of year?

Saturday | Day 7
ADVENTURE
An exciting, unusual, and sometimes risky undertaking or experience.
What adventures will you embark on today? What was the most exciting / unusual / risky part of your day?

SHARE PHOTOS TO OUR GROUP ALBUM
I created a group Flickr page where we can upload photos we want to share! I find that seeing what others are creating is very inspiring and wanted to make a space for that. Click here to go to our group Flickr album. Feel free to upload a snapshot of what your 21 sections looks like before we begin filling them in!
