One month from now, what do you want to feel clearer about? Why?
- How would this clarity affect your life?
- How might this clarity affect your relationships with others?
I've been jotting down my thoughts about this. I'm gaining some clarity, seeing my thoughts starting to crystallize. (finally 😅)
"The way to measure your progress is backward against where you started, not against your ideal."
The authors describe how our minds default to what's next, to where we want to go. So it feels like we're never really there. Always seeing the gap between here and the ideal. It can make you feel like nothing is ever enough, because you're measuring yourself against an ideal.
Gain thinking is exactly what the reflection question above was inviting. Not "where do I still need to go," but "where have I been, and where am I now?" Measuring backward instead of forward.
A Next Step
How have you grown in the last few months? In what ways have you become even more of your best version of you?
