Issue #69 | July 20, 2026

Welcome back to Beyond the Tour, where twice a month you’ll get clear, practical enrollment strategies you can put to work this week.

Let's get started.
Miriam
If You Do One Thing This Week:
1. 🗓️ Get on the Faculty Week agenda.

Find whoever builds the faculty inservice schedule.
Ask for 5 minutes to talk to all faculty about the incoming new students.

Your goal is to get faculty excited about new students coming in (Fresh ideas! Fresh perspectives! Fresh jokes in the classroom! Fresh parent volunteer energy!)

Five minutes for you in front of all faculty also sets the tone keeping. admission top of mind for them.

Not yet on the agenda yet? Fix it this week.

2 Tips to DO MORE:

2. Turn welcome bags into word of mouth.

Sending welcome bags to new families?

Tuck in a postcard or flyer they can drop at their favorite coffee shop or toy store.

Want the extra mile? Add a Post-it: "We're so excited you're joining us! Please share with others!"

One bag. Two new touchpoints in the community. I love a good win-win.

Thanks to Haley S for this tip!

3. 📋 Make it stick.

If you're sending out a newsletter, keep in mind who is reading it and what is most important for them to see.

💡 Here's a tip: Have a parent who is close to the school - but not too close - read the newsletter and give their feedback.

Is the information helpful?
Are you missng anything obvious?

This is a great role for a parent who wants to get involved.

Try it. Let me know how it goes.

If this newsletter resonates with you, here are three more ways I can help:
  1. Follow me on LinkedIn or Instagram for bite-sized tips throughout the week (free).
  2. Work with me for 1:1 executive coaching or enrollment strategy consulting. Hit reply and I’ll send you a few questions to see if we’re a fit.
  3. Book me as a retreat facilitator or speaker. I am booking retreats now for Summer and Fall (and just booked for January!). Please reply to this email or email me directly. I would love to plan something with you.
I’m a teacher at heart, and love helping people get better at what they do.
