| | Hey friend,
Welcome to this week's edition of our newsletter. I'm so glad you're here.
This issue is filled with things close to my heart — a brand-new picture storybook that's been years in the making, a fresh essential oil reflection, our Soul Talk Plus membership, and a heartfelt recommendation from someone whose work I truly admire.
Whether you have five minutes or fifty, I hope something here speaks to you today. Pull up a chair, make yourself a cup of tea, and let's begin. |

| | | | | | | | | | | | | There is a kind of networking that has nothing to do with business cards, sales pitches, or strategic introductions. It begins in the heart. I have long believed that happily fulfilling and surprising others with an act of kindness or service lifts us to a frequency of joy. That is where genuine connection begins.
One of my earliest memories of this happened when I was about ten years old. I babysat for neighbors who had two young children—a baby daughter and a six-year-old son. I loved caring for them, playing games, giving them baths, and reading bedtime stories before tucking them in for the night.
After the children were asleep, I walked into the kitchen. Dishes were scattered about, and everything seemed out of place. Looking at it, I almost felt as though the kitchen itself was crying out for attention. Suddenly, I imagined how exhausted those young parents must be. I pictured them coming home after a long day, expecting more work to do, only to find a clean and orderly kitchen waiting for them. The thought filled me with excitement. I began washing dishes, putting things away, and tidying up. The entire time I was laughing inside, imagining their surprise and delight.
What I discovered was that while I was creating joy for them, I was also creating joy within myself.
Now, I should mention that this was very different from my attitude at home. I shared a bedroom with my sister, and I loved organization so much that she paid me a quarter a week—back in the 1950s—to clean her side of the room. Her side often looked as though a cyclone had swept through it, and I genuinely enjoyed putting everything back in its place.
The kitchen dishes, however, were another matter. When it came time to wash dishes at home, my mind was usually somewhere else. I was imagining myself riding my bicycle or playing stickball with the three boys I grew up with on our street. We spent countless happy hours riding bikes and playing together. I could hardly wait to get outside. Sometimes my sister would simply say, "Go ahead and go out," and I would happily run off.
Looking back, these experiences taught me something important. Joy comes from honoring both what delights us and what blesses others. When we contribute to someone else's happiness, our own hearts are lifted as well.
This is why service is such a powerful form of networking. It creates authentic connections. It awakens gratitude. It stirs the heart and opens us to new ideas, inspiration, and possibilities.
The strongest connections are often not built through transactions. They are built through thoughtful acts, caring gestures, and moments when we choose to bring a little unexpected joy into another person's day. When we network from the heart, everyone benefits—including ourselves.
Every act of service creates two gifts: one for the person receiving it and one for the heart that gives it.
Networking isn't about collecting contacts. It's about creating connections.
True networking begins with kindness, generosity, and a desire to lift others.
When we help someone else rise, our own hearts rise too.
❤️How has a simple act of kindness brought joy into your life?

The most meaningful connections rarely begin with a business card. They begin with a caring heart.
This week's article reminds us that true networking is not about collecting contacts—it's about cultivating relationships rooted in kindness, generosity, and a genuine desire to serve. When we focus on how we can encourage, support, and uplift others, connections naturally grow into friendships, collaborations, and opportunities that benefit everyone involved.
One Heart beautifully reflects this spirit of unity. Its aroma invites us to see beyond differences and remember that every meaningful relationship begins with a simple act of caring.
