Happy July to you, CFD fam! We're so glad you're here <3

July has been an exciting (and if you're here in NC, very hot) month, including the release of two brand new projects, winning best of Chapel Hill(!) and more.  We're going to share all the inside info with you below.

Best of Chapel Hill

We were SO honored to be awarded “Best Interior Designer- Chapel Hill” for (what we cannot believe) is the EIGHTH year in a row (cue the confetti, it is a true celebration over here!).  Chapel Hill Magazine, whom we love deeply for their dedication to our community and support of local businesses, takes votes from the community to recognize their favorite small businesses.  Knowing that our CFD family- clients, supporters, and fellow business owners- voted for us is an incredible feeling, and we have nothing but gratitude for this community.  From our entire team, THANK YOU to those who took the time to vote for us. It is more impactful than you could know. Now, we'll get back to work earning it for year nine!

Social Kitchen & Scullery 

You might remember from the June newsletter the introduction to this contemporary custom home design in Durham. One of our favorite parts of this home is the bright, open kitchen, accompanied by a seating area/keeping room, as well as a Scullery kitchen strategically tucked out of sight (but only a few steps away!).  It's a dream set-up for family time, entertaining, conversation, and keeping littles in sight while you make dinner. Did we mention it also features a full wall-size sliding glass door that opens the kitchen directly to the all-seasons patio living and dining area?  We have all the images, details, and story of this design up on the blog this month. Authority Magazine Feature

When Authority Magazine asked us for an interview, we were so excited with the questions. Getting to the heart of business ownership, women in business, and the story behind how CFD became the business that it is today.  The piece was a equal parts soulful conversation and window into the life of a designer, and we loved seeing this authentic conversation in print.  Our thanks to Authority Mag for a fantastic feature.
