WEEK 3 | DISCOVER THE MOMENT

We started out this project by sharing the season and then we embraced our day. It felt like we began with something big (season) then focusing in (day). For our third and final week, I wanted to continue this pattern--and the next part of this sequence felt like it should be moment.

The prompts for this week encourage you to hone in on a specific moment in your day, to seek it out, and to remember that particular feeling.

Each one is paired with a picture, depicting a moment the photographer captured that corresponds to it for added inspiration. Click the link to view, some photos also have a caption towards the bottom left. (Photos are from Unsplash, a great place to find completely free images to use!)

If you're focusing on the season we're in, think of the connection the prompts have with this time of year.

As always, the prompts are optional and flexible. See where it takes you, what it reminds you of--it's OK to end up with something that's the complete opposite or unrelated.

The prompts from this season will be different from the last. If you'd like to use the same prompts from season 1, you can find all the prompts here.

If you'd like a prompt that's similar but not exactly the same, I suggest typing season 1's prompts into the thesaurus so you're following the same theme as before but picking a new word to spark different ideas!

Observe the mundane and ordinary then look for the quiet beauty and remarkability in its existence. It can be an activity, an object, a place: brushing your teeth, filling your car with gas, commuting, washing dishes, your favorite t-shirt you've worn a million times, a trinket that's lost it's newness, your favorite shop, an aisle in the grocery store, the park you walk your dog at every day.
