Esther’s Jewish name is Hadassah, which can be translated as “myrtle” a plant used as a symbol of peace and restoration.

I will turn mourning to joy

Esther is the only book in the Bible where God’s name is not mentioned.

Trust that God intentionally places you where you are "for such a time as this," and understand your role in His larger story.

Reference—Esther 4:14 – For such a time as this

Recall a "day of gladness" in your life, especially one that followed a difficult period. How did recognizing God's hand in this moment deepen your relationship with Him?

To help your class recognize days of “gladness and good days” invite them to pause at the end of each day and count God’s tender mercies.
