Hi First name / friend! Let's catch up.
July is over!

  • Upcoming in August: Tivoli Day, Bard Engagement Day, & T2F Rack at Cafe Joust!

  • Sales: Student 20% off Fridays, Summer Sale, FREE room on August 30th! 🛍️
July was such a fun month at T2F! We popped up at the Basilica Farm and Flea summer market, where we introduced lots of people to Thrift 2 Fight, reconnected with vendors we admire, and raised funds for Prairieland Defendants. The rest of the month's donations went to the Kingston Emergency Food Collaborative – you can read more about it below!

On Tivoli Yard Sale day we had a full porch of $1 items, and it was a huge hit! Thanks for stopping by and getting your new favorite outfits. Big shout out to our employees and volunteers who held down the fort all week while Masha, Jillian, and Finn were away: Victoria, Emerson, Esmeralda, TT, Jack, Lilly, and Candace 💓💖💗

Scroll down to see the results of our July fundraising, the new donation recipients, and all of the upcoming events!

FUNDRAISING
July Results

In July, we raised and donated $2,110 from our sales:
  • $500 for Prairieland Defendants - The state and federal governments have levied ruinous charges on 17 people thus far. One of them - Sanchez Estrada - was sentenced to 30 years in prison for “moving a box of anti-fascist zines after the protest.” These sentences come after the executive order designating antifa (which is not an organization) a Domestic Terrorist Organization in September 2025. The administration is trying to make an example out of these defendants. If we, as the public, don’t show them support - we’re all in trouble. Read more here.
  • $1,610 for Kingston Emergency Food Collaborative - There are many organizations doing emergency food relief work in Kingston and Ulster County, and KEFC was formed as an emergency response to help these organizations work collaboratively to address food insecurity! You can support them here.

A new, MUCH needed local organization was formed last year: the Hudson Valley Tenants Union. If you've been a tenant anywhere, ever, you likely understand why it's needed — and especially in our region, which has gone through overwhelming changes in the past 6 years. Just to give you a snapshot: in 2020, Kingston and Hudson were the top two towns people moved to in the entire United States.

The HVTU was created by tenants and organizers dedicated to using tenant protections to build real working class power. They train tenants throughout the Hudson Valley to use new protections to build their own Tenant Associations and shift the balance of power away from landlords.

10% of every sale we make at Thrift 2 Fight in August will go to them! Want to support them directly? Head here.
