As part of our ongoing partnership work and the Safer Streets Summer Town Centre Initiative, Coventry BID Street Patrol Officers, alongside the Security Team from West Orchards Shopping Centre, have successfully completed training in the deployment and use of Naloxone.
The training was delivered by Change Grow Live (CGL) and provided attendees with the knowledge and confidence to recognise the signs of an opioid overdose and safely administer Naloxone in an emergency while awaiting the arrival of the ambulance service.
This training forms part of our continued commitment to improving public safety across Coventry city centre. By equipping frontline teams with additional lifesaving skills, we are strengthening our ability to respond to medical emergencies and support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
Coventry BID is proud to work in partnership with CGL, West Orchards, West Midlands Police, Coventry City Council and other local organisations to make the city centre a safer place for everyone who lives, works and visits.
