Awesome August!
“But He (Jesus) answered them, (the pharisees) ”I tell you that if these (His disciples) should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out." Luke 19:40 NKJV. It's crazy to think that if we do not give the Lord praise, that all of His other creations will start praising. With one verse in the bible, the Holy Spirit can stir a hunger inside of you to ask more questions and want to know more. When you start to meditate on His word you start pondering more. We start to become more child-like, asking simple questions, asking silly questions, or even asking hard questions that may not have easy black and white answers. Some questions that came to my mind: Does this mean that the rocks have cried out before? What does that even sound like? Is creation singing His praises now? Is it actual singing like we know singing here on earth? Or is it different sounds and noises we wouldn't consider praise? Is the wind that blows through the leaves of the trees, the rain that hits the soil and the waves that crash onto the shore the sounds of His creation praising Him? My hope is that the awe and wonder of the Lord will begin to grow inside of your hearts and minds as you continue to read His word and spend time with Him. He is so AWESOME!
