Titan Nation,

 

Welcome to the 2026-2027 academic year! Although our first week together was short, we were able to kick off the school year with a series of True North staple events, such as Titan Takeover and 7th Grade Success Day.

 

To prepare for the school year, we welcomed our Titan Families to our Meet and Greet, and Orientation Night, where they were able to tour the campus where their child is attending school and meet their teachers.

teacher of the year finalist: nicole Leon

Mrs. Nicole Leon, True North Classical Academy Dadeland, was selected as a finalist for the 2027 Teacher of the Year. As a result of this honor, she was invited to attend the Teacher of the Year Gala, where her efforts were celebrated alongside her fellow finalists. 

 

As part of the Teacher of the Year celebrations, a video highlighting each of the five finalists was shared during the gala. Mrs. Leon’s video featured heartfelt testimonials from her 6th grade students, Titan faculty members, and family. The words used to describe Mrs. Leon are both heartfelt and encouraging. 

 

Throughout her time at True North, Mrs. Leon has made a lasting impact inside and outside the classroom. She is committed to instilling knowledge in her scholars while encouraging them to grow as individuals. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to developing scholars who embody the classical ideal exemplify the qualities of an exceptional teacher and mentor

TITAN Takeover

Our upper school scholars traveled to central Florida for the annual Titan Takeover. 

 

During this three-day retreat, our 10-12th graders stepped away from the classrooms and entered an environment that has been carefully designed to foster meaningful conversations, reflection, and growth. Through a series of  seminars, discussions, and team building activies our scholars were able to challenge themselves, strengthen their connections, and set the tone for the school year. 

7th Grade success day

This week, we welcomed a new 7th grade class to our Sunset Campus! During their first day of school, our newest Logic School members were welcomed with a staple first-day tradition: 7th Grade Success Day!

 

After their first official assembly in the Sunset Campus gym, our scholars were challenged to take-on a scavenger hunt featuring a series of riddles and clues. The scavenger hunt encouraged them to explore and familiarize themselves with our campus while making fun and unique memories with their new classmates.

 

At the end of the day, our scholars were treated to ice cream.

Meet & Greets

In anticipation of the first day of school, our campuses opened their doors and hosted meet and greets. During these events, our families were able to visit the campus where their child would be attending school for the 2026-2027 academic year, meet their teachers, and learn important information to help them prepare for the year ahead.

 

Thank you to everyone who attended these events. We cannot wait to see what this school year has in store for us.

dash of the titans

Dash of the Titans is taking place on September 19, 2026 at Zoo Miami. 

 

Through Sunday, August 23, 2026, you can save $10 per participant when you register early and take advantage of our early bird offer. The Zoo requires everyone attending the event to register. If you plan to attend but will only be cheering on your fellow Titans, you must purchase a spectator ticket.
