The Experience

We begin at the Indian Ocean…

with waves lapping offshore and whales spouting in the distance. A welcoming place to ARRIVE, to soften, to open to being held by Mama Africa.

From there we move into the bush where we drop in further to the presence and power of the land and her animals. A place where you connect to being DEEPLY and POWERFULLY ALIVE. Where you feel SEEN looking into the eyes of a lion, where you're MOVED by the magic calls of baboons and nyala; where you become FULLY PRESENT watching an epic dung beetle battle.

Because what I know for sure is it is hard to deny the belonging, the wonder and oneness of creation when you are out in nature all day long, exploring the African bush, experiencing yourself as part of ALL THAT IS.

Life changes when you bring the embodied knowledge that you are not separate home.

Using what arises on the journey, together we will align with a higher frequency. We will lean into connection and inner guidance, discerning the messages the animals have to share in order to help you shift and open to receiving from the universe.

All this will be taking place within a safe and loving container, as part of a small, intentionally-chosen group of amazing women. This is a space where you don’t have to DO anything because your every need is being cared for - in the way you usually care for others.

The intention is that you come away with a real felt sense of what it is like to be loved and supported by the universe, by the land and the animals - and by me, Lisa, your guide.

Where we’ll stay

We’ll spend two nights at Sala Beach House, a boutique hotel and villa overlooking the Indian Ocean and the golden sands of Ballito beach on the Dolphin Coast of South Africa, just 20 minutes north of Durban King Shaka Airport.

The next six nights we'll reside at Rhino Sands, an intimate, five-star luxury tented camp on the protected lands of Manyoni Private Game Reserve, where riverine forest, African savannah, and rocky hills stretch wide under an endless sky. The game reserve lies 3.5 hours north in Kwazulu-Natal.

About your guide…

Lisa Dunford Dickman

Hi, I’m Lisa!

I help strong, soul-centered women lovingly shift what’s in the way of them living their most limitless life.

My own wake up call came when my mom died suddenly of a heart attack and I realized I wasn’t living the biggest, boldest, most beautiful life I could be. I became acutely aware how short life really was. At that time I doubled down on my spiritual journey, I studied coaching techniques and age-old energetic tools, and I learned to transform through joy and wonder - for myself first, and then for my clients.

Before becoming a transformational coach, I spent 15 years roaming the globe as the author of more than 40 Lonely Planet travel guidebooks. I’ve lived in six countries and speak four languages (five if you count Texan!). Traveling is a still a passion of mine. Now I just help people explore their inner as well as their outer worlds.

The first time I journeyed to South Africa, it felt like coming home to a place I’d never been before. Being out in the wild all day long communing with nature… it was so easy to drop in, to see what was REAL and what is not real.

After that first trip, I returned again, and again, and again (six times!) before eventually leading my first Open to the Magic retreat in Kwazulu-Natal. I couldn’t help but want more women to experience the wonder and oneness of Mama Africa so they can bring the internal shifts that creates home!

Today my greatest joy is leading women on transformational adventures, helping them connect with their deepest desires and embrace themselves as the unlimited divine creators they truly are. And my favorite place to do that is in the South African wild!
