It’s almost time to dance, and I truly cannot believe I get to say this: Welcome to DCJ’s 50th season! Fifty years ago, my parents started this studio with a love for dance, a passion for teaching, and a desire to create a place where kids could learn, grow, and feel at home. To now be celebrating 50 years of dance in DFW is incredibly special to me, and I am so grateful that your family gets to be part of this milestone. Whether you’ve been at DCJ for years or are walking through our doors for the first time, you are now part of a legacy built by generations of dancers, teachers, and families.
As we head into our first week, I know the beginning of a new season can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. New schedules, classrooms, teachers, friends, and first-day nerves are all completely normal! You may see some new faces on the DCJ staff this season, too, and we’re so excited for you to get to know them. We appreciate a little extra patience and grace during those first few weeks as dancers, families, teachers, and staff all settle in and find our rhythm together. And please, if you have a question, concern, or something just doesn’t feel quite right, reach out and give us the opportunity to help. We want every dancer and family to feel comfortable, welcomed, and excited to be here.
We have so much to look forward to and some really special things planned to celebrate 50 years of DCJ. I cannot wait to see our studios full again, watch this next generation of dancers grow, and continue the legacy my parents started 50 years ago.
