AGent Energy has raised $11 million in new seed funding, bringing the young energy technology company’s total funding to $17 million in just one year. The round was co-led by Spero Ventures and MassMutual Ventures.
Led by co-founder and CEO Stephanie Hendricks, AGent is developing technology that connects existing backup generators to the power grid. Its hardware and software can remotely activate generators at businesses, hospitals, data centers and other facilities when the grid is under stress.
Hendricks previously served as COO of energy tech company Voltus and is a former Naval Warfare Intelligence officer.
