The author proposes a new form of representation in Congress: “Proportional representation creates multimember districts. Instead of one person taking a single seat, a party gets representatives based on vote share. If you had a district with five representatives and two parties that split the vote 60/40, one party would get three seats, and the other party would get two.” |

Here's an excerpt: "The SAVE America Act requires the following: 1. Specify what proof would be acceptable, such as "evidence as identification that complies with the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates citizenship." 2. Require states to offer an alternative path to proving citizenship, such as a U.S. passport, if they are unable to do so with the documents contained in the REAL ID Act. 3. Make states establish an affirmative system to identify voters who are non-citizens." |

Missouri Primary Results: |

I've created a Google spreadsheet of the Missouri state senate and all federal primary election results. Every Missouri state house district had a primary, which totals 163. To be most efficient with my time, I recommend visiting Secretary of State webpage with the results for the house primary results. Bolded numbers show you which party had the most people turn out in that election. My humble high-level analysis: Congressional District 1 - solidly Democratic win Congressional District 2 - fingers crossed, Ds could finally return to this district! Congressional District 4 - with a big push for more voter turnout, Ds could win Congressional District 5 - with a big push for more voter turnout, Ds could win State Auditor - with a big push for more voter turnout, Ds could win |

Missouri August Ballot Initiative Results Amendment 1 - Renew parks and conservation sales tax PASSED with 82.3% of the vote. WOO! Amendment 2 - County Assessor Elections General PASSED with 76.9% of the vote. WOO! Amendment 4 - Modify Amendment Approval Requirements FAILED with 80.3% of the vote. WOOOOOOO!! Amendment 5 - Eliminate Income Tax FAILED with 83.3% of the vote. WOOOOOOO!! |

Please make sure everyone you know understands that Amendment 3 includes more than the billboards suggest. Read this article from Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) that makes clear this amendment bans abortion in addition to enshrining a prohibition of trans youth health care access. Missourians already overturned a ban on abortion in 2024, and Amendment 3 is once again trying to take abortion rights away. |
