Hayley Grimes is a dance artist, choreographer, and educator who holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Sam Houston State University. Her training includes contemporary, contemporary ballet, modern, jazz, and a hint of ballet. Hayley has performed throughout Texas in university, festival, and professional settings and is currently a member of Zion Dance Project, where she performs contemporary and contemporary ballet repertory and continues to grow as an artist through collaboration and movement research.
As an educator, Hayley believes dance is a powerful form of self-expression and a space for students to develop not only their technique, but also their confidence, creativity, and individuality. She strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where dancers feel encouraged to take risks, discover their own artistic voice, and grow at their own pace. Hayley believes strong technical foundations provide dancers with the tools to explore artistry and creativity, while the experiences gained through dance can build discipline, resilience, teamwork, and confidence that extend far beyond the studio.
Hayley is passionate about helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for movement and the arts and is so excited to continue her second year at DCJ Dance!
