It's that time again — Summer's doing that thing where it insists it's not over yet, even though the pumpkin spice and Halloween decorations are sneaking in. Before we let the season go, I've got a full inbox-worthy update for you: a little personal news I'm still kind of buzzing about, where our local market actually stands (numbers, not vibes), and a few last-call summer things worth your weekend before Wilmington fully switches over to sweater weather.  Grab your coffee (or your third glass of sweet tea or wine, no judgment), because we’ve got some catching up to do.  

It turns out I’ve officially been elected as an NC REALTORS® RPAC Trustee for our region, serving a three-year term.  RPAC (Realtors Political Action Committee) is the group that advocates for things that actually affect you — property rights, housing affordability, and making sure the people writing the laws actually understand how things translate in real terms.  Being a trustee means I get a seat at the table representing our region's interests for the next three years.  It is a true honor to serve, and I will be keeping you updated every step of the way.  I am also pumped to have been selected to serve on the Professional Standards Committee for NC REALTORS® in 2027.  I guess this means that I really do like rules from time-to-time 🤷‍♀️.  It also means that you can trust that I am committed to upholding high ethical standards in our industry and will have your back as consumers!   Serving beyond the transaction has always been one of my favorite parts of this job, and I am privileged to live in a state with some of the best leaders in the industry.

Pricing your home right out of the gate matters more than it did in 2022 - overpriced listings are the ones sitting.
