Titan Nation,

 

The fall semester is in full swing, and our Titans are making the most of every moment.

 

This week, a group of Dadeland scholars hosted a lemonade stand to raise funds for those impacted by the recent earthquakes in Colombia. Our girls volleyball team currently holds an impressive 3 game winning streak, while our swim and cross-country teams kicked off their seasons with strong performances. 

 

The True North Classical Foundation invited families, alumni, faculty, grandparents, and friends to leave a lasting mark on True North by becoming a permanent part of our campus through our Legacy Bricks Campaign.

 

From athletic achievements to acts of service to meaningful traditions, our Titans continue to make this a semester one to remember!

Dash of the Titans is taking place on September 19, 2026 at Zoo Miami. The race is rapidly approaching and the True North Classical Foundation have shared two new additions to this year's race.

 

Specifically, Mr. Couto, our new math, logic, and coding teacher, is challenging every Sunset Campus student to beat his time in this year's race. If you are able to beat his time, he will purchase you lunch from one of our food trucks on campus. Additionally, the True North Classical Foundation unveiled the new swag bag that all our Dashers will be receiving. The new bag is heat-activated, and when exposed to heat, purple Titan heads are revealed across the white bag.

 

Join us for the 2026 Dash of the Titans and let's make this year the best event till date. 

Lemonade for colombia

Isabella Franceschi, Mariana Franceschi, Cecilia Munoz, and Martina Larota True North Classical Academy Dadeland, hosted a lemonade stand over the weekend to raise money for those affected by the earthquakes in Colombia.

 

Through their efforts, they raised a grand total of $1,505, which they sent to two different organizations – the neonatal and obstetric critical care unit at S.E.S Hospital Universitario de Caldas, Colombia and Global Empowerment Mission (GEM). Thanks to the generosity of a community member, their donation to GEM will be 100% matched. 

 

Through this effort, our Titans exemplified several virtues, like responsibility, generosity, service, and compassion, that we instill in them through our core virtue program. Our core-virtues program is a literature-based approach to character development. Each morning, a story, poem, or vignette is read and discussed, providing our scholars inspirational and insightful examples of virtue in action. Through this, we begin to shape our scholars and develop their love towards all things true, good, and beautiful. As a result, they begin to love the greater things in life and initiate actions, like the lemonade stand, to assist a community.

Girls volleyball

Our Girls Volleyball Team is off to a great start! Currently, they hold an impressive 5-2 record with an active three game winning streak. This week, they faced two competitive teams - the Coral Reef Barracudas and the Patriots of American Heritage – only one day apart. 

 

Although their current record is impressive, what has struck most people from our girls volleyball team is their sense of comradery and ability to work together as a team. Their chemistry is felt throughout the game as they communicate, cheer, and support each other. Outside the court, their friendship is witnessed by everyone in our schools as they are always enjoying each others company, helping each other succeed, and challenging one another. 

fall sports: new season

This week, our swim team and cross country team kicked-off their fall season. 

 

Specifically, our swim team participated in a tri-meet against Mater Lakes and LaSalle at Miami-Dade County North Campus and our Cross Country runners competed in the Palmer Invitational. Both teams had extremely strong performances and set the tone for a competitive season. 

 

Of note, our cross country scholar athletes are coming off a historic season where they earned their first regional championship. 

Legacy brick campaign

The True North Classical Foundation invites families, alumni, faculty, grandparents, and friends to become a permanent part of our campus through the Legacy Bricks Campaign.

Each engraved brick becomes a visible and enduring symbol of gratitude, honor, and commitment to the mission of True North Classical Academy. Legacy Bricks are installed in designated walkways and gathering areas across Sunset campus, selected for long-term visibility and continuity.

 

Gifts made through Legacy Bricks at True North support the Community Investment Fund, providing resources to advance the school’s highest priorities. These gifts allow True North to respond to evolving needs and opportunities across academics, faculty support, student programs, and campus life. This flexibility ensures that every gift meets the school’s most immediate and meaningful needs.
