The Curated Edit
A Design Dossier : Bespoke Trends, Creative Inspiration, and Studio Discoveries

Last week, we were called in to handle the interior design for a remodel in Lakeway that was nearly finished.
Walking through the freshly painted space, the layout conflicts jumped out immediately : in the 12x12 home office, oversized double doors swung wide into the room, eating into the footprint needed for an executive desk and built-in bookshelves. In the breakfast nook, the light fixture was centered to the room rather than the dining table and walkway clearance.
Fixing these oversights meant costly change orders, schedule disruptions, and a delayed handover. It’s why our answer to “ When should we hire a designer? ” is always : Long before the walls go up !

DESIGNING FOR HOW LIFE ACTUALLY HAPPENS
Having a foundation in architecture gives our design process a distinct edge : we evaluate floor plans through a practical, lived-in lens. Before permits are submitted, we conduct detailed architectural and electrical plan reviews asking : Where will someone naturally drop their keys, need task lighting, or plug in daily essentials? We refine the flow so the house wouldn’t just look beautiful, but feel effortless to live in.

CURATING THE DETAILS
A custom build comes with hundreds of micro-choices. We take that decision fatigue off our clients’ plates by specifying the entire interior package … from hardwood undertones and custom cabinetry profiles to plumbing finishes and switchplates. Every item is intentionally chosen to tell a cohesive, elevated story from room to room.

THE FINAL LAYER
When construction wraps, we bring the vision full circle with tailored staging and styling. Sourcing pieces scaled precisely to the home’s proportions ensures the furnishings highlight architectural strengths, creating that instant emotional connection the moment you walk through the door.

The finished result always takes me back to where it all starts… Standing in the dirt post-demo with a set of blueprints. It’s raw, messy, and full of potential. But the truth is, if I can already picture daily life unfolding in the middle of a dusty job site, it’s because the magic is already on paper.
Most people picture interior design as just the finishing touches… paint colors, wall art, and furnishings. But turning raw potential into a refined, bespoke home happens long before drywall goes up… and shaping that transformation is easily the most rewarding work I do!
