Think of a person who had an impact on you. You noticed how they showed up. You admired how they interacted and advocated for others. Maybe they made you feel seen and capable, or even special.
We lost Dolly Parton this week. One of the many gifts she left us is this:
“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are an excellent leader.”
We never really know the impact that we are having.
Maya Angelou put it best:
“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
A Next Step
Write down one way you've shown up for someone recently. Something you felt proud about. You may never know the impact it had on them. But you knowing it happened matters. It helps you get clearer about how you want to show up.
