Welcome to the Math Rundown!

Here’s your weekly mix of math tips and tricks, resources, and things to think about, all centered around a different math topic or teacher frustration each week.

This week’s topic is how to stop math prep from eating your evenings.

3 things I stopped doing once I built choice boards
  1. Digging through my drive every Sunday night trying to remember where I saved that one game.
  2. Making a new set of task cards everytime I needed something for early finishers or centers.
  3. Reprinting the same activities over and over because I never made enough copies the first time.

2 things that changed once I had a system
  1. I printed once and had materials ready for the whole month, sometimes the whole year, and no longer had to scramble each week!
  2. I had three levels ready to go, so differentiation stopped being extra work I squeezed in and became part of the plan.

1 thing you can do this week
  1. Grab the October Choice Boards now so you're not hunting for materials on October 1st.
(If you don't want to wait until October, you can find the September ones in my store.)

Thanks for letting me be part of your teaching journey this year.

Cheryl
