When my dad was diagnosed with dementia, caregiving became part of everyday life for our whole family.
I eventually moved my parents into my home, and I found myself doing what so many of you are doing right now… balancing my career, my kids, caring for my dad, and supporting my mom through all of it.
Then professional caregivers came into our lives, and they truly changed things for the better.
The support they gave us didn't just lighten the load, it gave me my dad back in the moments that mattered most. After he passed, I knew I wanted to help other families feel that same relief.
That's how I became a Home Instead owner here in Arizona. And it's the reason I say this so often: asking for help doesn't mean giving up your independence. Often, it's the very thing that protects it.
