What are your photos saying about you?

Happy Tuesday!

Over the past couple of weeks, we've been chatting about the power of words. Now, let’s take those ideas and give them a visual twist! 📸

When I was envisioning my brand refresh, I couldn't imagine moving forward with a new logo and color palette without new brand photos. The old pics were perfect for that stage of my business and, as I came into my own, I knew exactly what I needed.

Here are some tips to make the most of your photography:

Consistency: Think of it as your visual signature. It's those familiar settings, angles, and props that make your photos unmistakably yours.

Planning a Shoot: Create a concise shot list tailored to how you will use your images (think your website, social media, emails, marketing collateral, etc.). Keep it real + relevant!

Collaborating with Your Photographer: Ensure they understand the harmonious vibe you’re going for, with consistent light, color, and tone across all your photos. It's like giving them a cohesive melody for your audience to keep coming back to. (Thankfully for me, Mariah Gale always understands the assignment.)

Remember, your photos are another extension of your brand. Make sure they’re echoing the same message your words are conveying.

Tip Tuesday Takeaway:
Before you next shoot, jot down three emotions or ideas you want your photos to evoke. Share this list with your photographer to guide each shot and ensure every image hits the mark before it goes live.
