Hello Beautiful Humans,

Earlier this week, I was talking with some colleagues about interpersonal conflict. We’ve all been there. The discomfort of being in a meeting and there is friction between some of the people. The type of friction that is not about the content of the meeting, but about the people who are in the room.

One thing that can be helpful is to notice yourself. How are you feeling? How are your feelings showing up in your face, your body language, your breathing, your energy?

Try slowing down your breath. Unclench.

Why is this helpful? You deciding to be self-aware will free up some brain space to decide what you might do next instead of just reacting. Decide for the good of the group. For you.

Begin with awareness.

A Next Step
When you are in spaces with other people, notice your breath. Your shoulders. The more you do this, the easier it will be for you when there is interpersonal friction. Bring your self-awareness.

Stay Curious!
Paige
