👋🏼 Hey, it’s Miriam. Welcome to my bi-weekly newsletter where we help you grow your pipeline, keep your clients, and crush your goals.

Let’s get started.
Miriam
If You Do One Thing This Week:

🍁 1. Start Fall with a little cheer
Your best clients and referral partners should hear from you when you are not asking them for anything.

Make a list of 10 clients, former clients, referral partners, or professional contacts you value. Reach out to at least 3 of them this week with a simple message wishing them a great Fall.

Better yet, make it personal. Thank them for working with you, sending someone your way, or simply being a pleasure to work with.

It does not need to be clever or elaborate. A genuine “I’m glad we get to work together” can go a long way.

Your action this week: Pick 3 people, send each a personal note, and make sure there is no sales pitch hiding at the end.

A little kindness is surprisingly good for business. ❤️

2 Tips to DO MORE:

2. Find out what would make your clients' lives easier

Instead of guessing what your clients need from you, ask them.

Choose 3 current clients this week and ask:
“What could we be doing that would make working with us easier or more helpful for you?

They may want:
  • More notice before an appointment.
  • A quick reminder.
  • Clearer instructions.
  • A monthly update.
  • Faster answers.
Or perhaps they are perfectly happy with what you are doing.

Listen carefully, then look for one small change you can actually make.

If the same request comes up more than once, pay attention. That is probably not just a one-off suggestion. It may be an opportunity to improve the experience for everyone.

🗓️ 3. Get closer to the people you serve

Do not spend all of your time behind your desk.

Find a reason to spend at least one hour this week alongside your clients or customers.
  • Visit them.
  • Attend an event.
  • Sit in on a meeting.
  • Stop by their business.
  • Join them for coffee.
Whatever makes sense for your business.
If you have a team, get them involved too.

This is not time away from the “real work.” It is the work.

When you spend time with your clients, you notice things that are easy to miss from an email or phone call. You learn what they care about, what frustrates them, what they are excited about, and where you can be more useful.

And there is a wonderful side effect: people tend to stick around when they feel that you actually know them.

If this newsletter resonates with you, here are three more ways I can help:
  1. Follow me on LinkedIn or Instagram for bite-sized tips throughout the week (free).
  2. Work with me for 1:1 executive coaching or growth strategy consulting. Hit reply and I’ll send you a few questions to see if we’re a fit.
  3. Book me as a retreat facilitator or speaker. I'm looking at Winter and Spring retreats now. I just booked a retreat for May 2027. This is the perfect time to reset. Reply to this email and we’ll take it from there.
I’m a teacher at heart, and love helping people get better at what they do.
