If You Do One Thing This Week: |

📋 1. Start your summer list now. Create a document today called “Summer Projects.” Yes, already. As you move through events, orientation, buddy programs, and more, you’re probably already thinking, “Next year, let’s do this differently.” Don’t trust yourself to remember it. Add it to your Summer Projects list now. Then, when spring or summer arrives and you finally have room to breathe and reflect, you’ll have a ready-made list of what to improve for next year. |

🔎 2. Build a look-ahead culture. If a family is touring Kindergarten, don’t just sell them on Kindergarten. Show them what they have to look forward to. - Peek into the middle school science lab.
- Point out the 8th grade trip everyone talks about.
- Introduce them to an older student who started right where their child is.
Start the retention conversation before they even enroll. Try it. Let me know how it goes. |

🚸 3. Learn from your neighbors. Take a tour at another school and hear about how they highlight their best (and how they hide their mess). Invite them to your school for the same experience. Talking to a professional in the field in a non-competitive way will help you both grow. Bonus points: go to their open house and invite them to yours. |
