     September in Scottsdale
We’ve officially reached that time of year when 90 degrees somehow feels promising, the mornings are almost hinting at fall, and patios are slowly coming back into the conversation.
With my favorite season around the corner, it felt like the perfect time to start something new.

With my favorite season around the corner, it felt like the perfect time to start something new.
Welcome to the first issue of The Scottsdale Edit — a monthly collection of what I’m seeing, loving and bookmarking around town. Beautiful homes, noteworthy design, what I’m noticing in real estate, places worth knowing, and whatever else deserves a spot on the list.
No endless market reports or generic “things to do in Scottsdale” roundups. Just a thoughtful edit of the homes, places and details I think are actually worth your attention — and hopefully something in every issue you’ll want to save, send to a friend, or go see for yourself.

THE MARKET
 WHAT IM SEEING RIGHT NOW
Scottsdale is shifting into one of
it's most interesting seasons of the year.

September is bringing a little more balance to the Scottsdale market. Buyers have more room to be selective, while well-positioned homes are still getting attention. Pricing and presentation matter — and so does recognizing the right opportunity when it comes along.

MY TAKE
For buyers, there’s room to be patient — and a little more room to negotiate. For sellers, the details matter more than ever. The homes that feel well-priced, well-prepared and easy to say yes to are the ones standing out.

My biggest takeaway? This isn’t a market to rush, but it isn’t one to sit out either. The right strategy matters more than the headline numbers.

AT HOME
THREE DETAILS THAT MAKE A HOME FEEL EXPENSIVE
Image item
A home doesn’t need a complete renovation to feel elevated. Often, it comes down to a few thoughtfully executed details.

FULL-HEIGHT CABINETRY
Extending cabinetry to the ceiling draws the eye upward and creates a polished, custom look.

LIGHTING WITH PRESENCE
A properly scaled fixture can anchor an entire room and make the design feel more intentional.

MATERIALS THAT CONTINUE
Carrying stone up the backsplash and using consistent flooring creates a calmer, more cohesive space.

  03
AROUND TOWN
WHAT I’M TRYING, ORDERING & LOVING
Image item
EAT — KUZA
KUZA has been on my radar, and I finally have a reservation coming up. It’s one of Scottsdale’s newest openings, with sushi, raw-bar dishes and plates prepared over a traditional robata grill.
DRINK — THE OUTLAW AT KAUBOI
If you go to Kauboi, order The Outlaw. It has tequila, mint, lime, vanilla and blackberry foam—it sounds like an unusual combination, but it’s so good.
GO — HELIOS EVOLVED PILATES
I tried an XFORMER class at Helios this week, and Kaida absolutely humbled me—in the best way. It was challenging, high-energy and exactly the kind of workout that leaves you feeling accomplished.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
THIS MONTH: DC RANCH
Image item
DC Ranch is one of my favorite pockets of North Scottsdale. The mountain views and desert setting are beautiful, but it’s the sense of place—from the villa-style neighborhoods and tree-lined paths to coffee or dinner at Market Street—that makes it feel so special. Everything feels polished, connected and thoughtfully designed.
