I think I’m having a three-year-long closet crisis, First name / friend. 😂

Since having Ollie, I’ve had the hardest time figuring out what I actually like wearing anymore. My body has changed, my style has changed, we moved from Minnesota to Florida — and now we’re moving back to Minnesota... my closet basically belongs to several different people at this point.

And this week, I realized I’m still wearing nursing bras.
I stopped breastfeeding two years ago.
So. Things are going great over here. 😂

But I bought a new dress recently that I absolutely love, and it made me realize something: I don’t actually need to figure out my entire personal style right now.

I know I love easy dresses and jumpsuits. I know I love earthy colors and floral prints. I know I want getting dressed to feel easy.

Maybe that’s enough to start.

Also new around here: the no-diaper diaper bag
I was weirdly a little sad when I realized our diaper days were ending.
Partly because I really love my diaper bag 😂, but mostly because packing it has always felt like one of those tiny, ordinary ways I get to take care of Ollie when we’re away from home.

Good news: potty training did not, in fact, retire the diaper bag.
It just gave it a new job.

I emptied ours out this week and shared the eight things I carry now, including the little folding potty seat that has made unfamiliar bathrooms so much easier.

And if you just want the links:

Something to do this weekend
Apparently you guys want cozy movie nights as much as I do.

I shared five fall movie nights to have at home, and it became the most-saved thing I’ve shared on Instagram so far. Which I kind of love.

There are plenty of things we have to do every week. I want more reasons to look forward to being home on a Friday night.

So if you need plans this weekend, steal one of mine. 🍿

A few things I’d text you about
The Daughters of India dress.
Obviously. 😂 It’s comfortable, beautiful, and exactly the kind of thing I’m realizing I actually want to wear.

My House of Noa kitchen mat.
One of those home purchases that manages to be practical without looking aggressively practical. A very important category in my life.

Our Frida folding potty seat.
If you’re potty training and your child is unsure about public bathrooms, this has been SO useful for us.

One more little life update
I’m getting my hair done today for the first time since we moved to Florida. At a salon I’ve never been to. By a stylist I’ve never met.

Nothing like handing a stranger your hair and saying, essentially, I trust you with the next three months of my self-esteem. 😂 I’ll report back on Instagram.

And that’s about it from me this week.

I hope you find something small to look forward to this weekend. Flowers from the grocery store. A movie after bedtime. Wearing the dress instead of saving it. Going somewhere for coffee just because it’s cute.
Nothing monumental. Just something that makes you think, oh, I like my life.

Talk soon,
Kelly 🌼

P.S. We’re getting closer and closer to our move back to Minnesota, which means I’m about to have an entire empty house to organize and decorate. I have a feeling we’re going to have a lot to talk about.
