A quick note on Fly-Posting…
Image item
We have recently seen an increase in flyers and posters being attached to street furniture and other newly installed infrastructure across Coventry city centre.

Unfortunately, this is making parts of the city centre look untidy and is affecting the appearance of the significant investment that has been made in the new public-realm infrastructure. Removing flyers and adhesive can also cause damage and creates additional cleaning costs.

Please be aware that placing flyers or posters on street furniture, buildings, or other property without the appropriate permission may be considered unauthorised fly-posting and can result in enforcement action or a financial penalty.

We kindly ask all businesses to:

▪️ Refrain from attaching flyers or posters to street furniture or other city-centre infrastructure.
▪️ Ensure that staff, promoters and anyone acting on your behalf are aware of the restrictions.

▪️ Remove any unauthorised flyers that have already been displayed on behalf of your business.

▪️ Use authorised advertising locations and obtain the necessary permission before displaying promotional materials.

Further information and guidance are available on Coventry City Council’s website:    https://www.coventry.gov.uk/street-scene/flyposting

Please read the Fly-post policy.

We fully understand the importance of promoting city-centre businesses and events.

However, we need everyone’s support to ensure this is done responsibly and that Coventry city centre remains clean, welcoming, and attractive for businesses, residents, and visitors.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Entering its second year since Autumn came out to Coventry...  Autumn Is Queer is back and is running from 22nd September to 30th November 2026 across Coventry.

This years theme is titled, Coventry: Feeling Proud, which resonates with both Coventry City Football Club’s elevation to the Premier League and the civic pride it brings and the LGBTQ+ drive to allow everyone to feel proud in whoever they happen to be.

With highlight events such as Cher The News - on the day the clocks Turn Back Time - community groups, solo participants, choirs, and bands will be dressing up and performing as Cher. For one day only, in Cher-ventry.

The team are currently establishing allies to help equip Autumn’s collaborative vision for
Coventry, with several amazing ways you can get involved and support show your allyship
not only for the LGBTQ+ community but for community more widely.
