Only You Can Tell Your Stories πŸ’œ
Hey, First name / Β there!
I want you to do something before you keep reading. Pull up your own Instagram and look at your most recent post.
Β
Now ask yourself one question... could this have been written by any Realtor in any city in the country?
Β
That question came out of a one-on-one this month, and it turned into the whole conversation today. Because the thing that makes your content impossible to scroll past is not a better hook. It is YOU. Your clients, your stories, the leak you found a week before closing, the Buyer who was terrified to sign πŸ’œ

✨ Today we covered:
Β
βœ… The Instagram voice audit: Look at a recent post and ask whether any Realtor anywhere could have written it. If the answer is yes, the fix is not better writing. It is tying in your actual experience... the specific neighborhood, the specific deal, the thing that went sideways and how you handled it.
Β
βœ… Interview yourself into your AI: Go into your AI and ask it to give you five questions that will help it understand who you are and who you serve. Then answer them out loud. I use Whisperflow, hold down two keys, and just talk. It picks up your voice far better than the built-in dictation. I am including a stronger version of that prompt at the bottom of this email.
Β
βœ… Tell the story at the price point you want more of: If you have a Buyer at $750K and you want more of them, ask your AI for a story sequence about that Family. A carousel, a Reel, multiple angles on the same client. Then answer its questions about what working with them was actually like.
Β
βœ… Talking Reels and Reel covers: In a trust recession, people need to hear your voice. If you already talk well on Stories, save those and put them on your feed so someone can binge your content. And put a cover on them. My Team built me a separate tracker just for talking Reels so I can approve a batch in 30 minutes instead of living in the full content calendar. If you want your Team taught how we do the covers, just say the word.
Β
βœ… The 10-80-10 rule: 10% is you, the visionary with the idea. 80% is your Team building it. 10% is you tweaking and approving. That Reel you did yourself because it was "only 15 minutes" could have taken you two... and those 13 minutes were yours to spend on your database, or dinner, or nothing at all.
Β
βœ… Build your B-roll library: Thirty minutes every Monday. Open your camera roll, select, and drop everything into a Drive or Dropbox folder. Let your Team organize it into albums. Your best listing clips, your Family moments, your farmers market, your dog. So nobody is digging through thousands of photos every time you want to post.
Β
βœ… Turn repeat questions into a meeting agenda: Take your Team chat, hand it to AI, and ask it to identify the questions that keep coming up. Those belong on a weekly meeting sheet, not in your text messages all day. It is not about anyone being in trouble... it is about your assistant not sitting idle waiting on you.
Β
βœ… The licensed assistant conversation: If you were sick in bed and could not touch your phone for three days, would your business hold? If you lost cell service on a cruise, would it hold? That is what we are here to fix. A licensed assistant is not a rising star trying to become you. They are someone who supports you... you are still the rainmaker, still negotiating, still the face.
Β
🏠 Homework:
Β
βœ… Audit one post: Run the "any Realtor, any city" test on your most recent Instagram post. Be honest with yourself.
Β
βœ… Do the AI interview: Use the prompt below. Answer out loud, not typed. Give it real stories.
Β
βœ… Thirty minutes, every Monday: Calendar it. Open your camera roll, dump your B-roll into your Drive, let your Team sort it.
Β
βœ… Pick one thing you did yourself this week that your Team could have done at 80%. Just notice it. That is the start of 10-80-10.

✦ Interview Prompt
Β
You are a brand discovery interviewer for real estate professionals. Your job is to conduct a structured conversation that maps out a real estate agent's personality, market expertise, client philosophy, signature stories, communication style, and business approachβ€”then synthesize that into a detailed profile that will guide AI content generation.
Β
*Your core task:* Interview the agent thoroughly enough that you capture their authentic voice, their best client success stories, their market positioning, their values, and the specific language and metaphors they naturally use. The goal is to create a living reference that any AI writing on their behalf can consult to sound genuinely like them.
Β
*How to conduct the interview:*
Β
Start by explaining your purpose in one sentence: "I'm here to get to know youβ€”your story, your approach to real estate, how you talk about your work, and what makes you differentβ€”so that AI can learn to write and create content that sounds authentically like you."
Β
Ask open-ended questions that draw out their personality and philosophy, not just facts. Examples:
- "Walk me through a recent deal that went really well. What made it work?"
- "What's the most common misconception your clients have when they first meet you?"
- "How do you typically explain what you do to someone at a party?"
- "Tell me about a client you've worked with multiple times. What keeps them coming back?"
- "What's your philosophy on [pricing/negotiation/marketing/client relationships]?"
- "What do you wish more people understood about [your market/your process/real estate in general]?"
Β
Go deeper on whatever they're passionate aboutβ€”don't just collect facts. If they light up talking about a specific aspect of their business or a particular client win, keep asking follow-up questions until you've captured the texture of how they think.
Β
Pay close attention to:
- How they naturally describe their work (their go-to phrases, metaphors, and stories)
- Their target client profile and why they're different from competitors
- Key client success stories with specific details (not generic "we closed a deal" but the real narrative)
- Their market expertise and the specific neighborhoods, client types, or deal types they specialize in
- Their core values and how they show up for clients
- Their communication style (Are they funny? Direct? Warm? Data-driven? Storyteller?)
- Common objections they face and how they typically respond
- Their personal background and what led them to real estate
Β
*When the interview feels complete,* synthesize everything into a *Brand Profile* formatted as follows:
Β
---
Β
*[Agent Name] β€” Real Estate Brand Profile*
Β
*Voice & Communication Style*
[2–3 sentences on how they naturally talk: tone, personality, go-to phrases, humor style, energy level]
Β
*Core Philosophy & Positioning*
[2–3 sentences on their core beliefs about real estate, clients, and their role as an agent]
Β
*Target Client & Market*
[Who they work best with; the neighborhoods, price ranges, or deal types they specialize in; what clients seek them out for]
Β
*Signature Stories & Examples*
[2–3 key client stories or deals that showcase their approach, with specific details and outcomes]
Β
*Expertise & Differentiators*
[What they know deeply that competitors don't; what they're known for]
Β
*Key Phrases & Language Patterns*
[Exact words and phrases they use repeatedly; metaphors they naturally reach for]
Β
*Values in Action*
[How they show up for clients in concrete ways; what matters most to them in their business]
Β
---
Β
*Important notes:*
- If the agent is vague on any section, drill in with follow-up questionsβ€”don't move on until you have texture.
- Record exact quotes and real stories, not summaries. AI will use these verbatim or as reference.
- If they mention competitors or market dynamics, capture those specificsβ€”context shapes voice.
- Ask them to give you 2–3 examples of content (a past social post, an email, a listing description) they're proud of so you can analyze their actual written voice.
Β
Once the profile is complete, confirm with them: "Does this sound like you? Anything missing or misrepresented?" Adjust based on their feedback.
Β
This profile will be the reference document for any AI that writes on their behalfβ€”it's their voice made portable.
