Dear Al-Falah Academy Families,
Your child will be participating in an upcoming meaningful learning opportunity to serve our community! This hands-on experience will teach every student the value of giving back and helping those in need.
We are excited to partner with Islamic Development and Empowerment in America (IDEA) to provide our students with a real-life service project that allows them to put these values into action!
📅 Date: Saturday, October 24th
⏰ Time: Parents must select one of the two time slots and choose the same slot for all your children.
Please select ONE:
- 9:30–11:00 AM
- 11:30 AM–1:00 PM
📍 Where: Masjid al Hilal (ICN Ogden)
No classes will be held at Fischer Middle School that day.
👧🏽 Who Is Participating?
This event includes students from:
- PreK through Youth Program
- Special Needs Program
📦 What Will Students Do?
PreK and Kindergarten:
Students will stay in the ICN Ogden classrooms with their teachers and complete a service-related activity.
1st Grade through Youth Program & Special Needs Program:
Students will participate in a food packing service project.
This is a drop-off activity. Teachers and teaching assistants will work together to guide and support students throughout the event.
Lunch will not be provided, so please plan accordingly.
💛 Why Are We Doing This?
Our pre-salah Sahaba studies this year centers on generosity as one of the core traits we want our students to carry into their daily lives.
This project gives students a real chance to practice generosity rather than simply read about it. Working alongside their peers to pack food for others builds empathy and a lasting sense of responsibility toward their community.
📋 Parents: What Do You Need to Do?
- Complete this 👉 FORM by October 9th. Each family should submit only one form. Please add every participating child's name and grade to that same form.
- Drop off and pick up their children at ICN Ogden Masjid the day of the event.
- Enjoy our bake sale! Parents will have the opportunity to purchase treats from our bake sale while supporting the service project.
Details about drop-off, pick-up, and other logistics will be provided closer to the event date.
📌 All students are expected to participate.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping us teach our students the importance of serving others and giving back to our community! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us at
