Where do I even begin?
Honestly, I feel like I’m living in a dream. Becoming Girlies is something the Lord has been speaking to me about for the longest time and to finally see it come to life in such a beautiful way feels surreal. It’s more than a dream come true, it feels like alignment. What started as a vision in my heart has now become something tangible and I truly believe this is only the beginning of something so much bigger.
We had the privilege of working with some incredible sponsors and partners who helped bring the vision to life. Every detail was thoughtfully curated and beautifully executed and we are deeply grateful to everyone who played a part in making this experience what it was.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing sponsors and partners:
Mentos, Futurelife, Bakes by MK, Kimmy Creations, Native Child, Aneno, NP Photography, Arose Décor Events, Eltiar Wellness and I Balloons Events & Catering.
Words honestly cannot express how grateful we are for the role each of them played in creating this experience. Thank you for believing in the vision and partnering with us to make it a reality, but beyond the beautiful décor, the goodies, the conversations and all the little details… this was never just another event. It was a room full of women who were intentional and courageous enough to take a step, to show up, to be present, to reflect, to connect and to begin.
Becoming Girlies is a safe space. A space for intentional conversations, connection, building, reflection and healing. A space where women can encourage one another, learn from one another and be reminded that they don’t have to navigate their becoming alone.
We began the day by moving our bodies with a Pilates session, facilitated by an incredible instructor. It was a beautiful way to open the day and reconnect with ourselves and I too was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to use my profession as a therapist to facilitate meaningful conversations and create safe spaces for emotional reflection, connection and support.
There was something so special about watching women come into the room as individuals and leave feeling connected to something bigger, community, sisterhood and the courage to keep becoming. For me, this experience was such a confirmation. A confirmation that the vision God placed in my heart is worth pursuing. A confirmation that there is a need for spaces where women can gather, breathe, reflect, heal, laugh, connect and simply be.
Becoming Girlies is only the beginning and I have a feeling… there is so much more to come.
Here’s to becoming — authentically you!!
