Alhamdulillah, we are blessed to be part of a strong community that is supportive of our needs and able to provide us with so many different services. At this time, it is especially important that we continue to come together and support our Masajid through fundraising.
Please continue to support the AFA Fundraiser. Details are provided below. May Allah (swt) reward our students and families immensely for their generosity.
💰 Al-Falah Fundraiser for ICN – Support Our Masajid!
All donation envelopes are due Saturday, October 17th.
🎁 Students who return their completed envelopes will receive special incentives!
Please note:
- Students should not return envelopes to teachers.
- They should bring envelopes to the fundraising table at Door 5 (weather permitting) at the end of the school day to collect prizes.
- If your child needs a new envelope, they may ask their teacher for one.
All-School Food Service Project - October 24th at ICN Ogden
Your child will be participating in an upcoming
meaningful learning opportunity to serve our community! This hands-on experience will teach every student the value of giving back and helping those in need. The
sessions are filling up fast, so complete the FORM before your preferred session is full. We need your support in packing the thousands of meals that others are depending on!
📅 Date: Saturday, October 24th
📍 Where: Masjid al Hilal (ICN Ogden)
No classes will be held at Fischer Middle School that day.
📋 Parents: What Do You Need to Do?
- Complete this FORM by October 9th. Each family should submit only one form. Please add every participating child's name and grade to that same form.
📌 All students are expected to participate.

🚗 Dismissal Procedures each Saturday
We are sharing our dismissal procedures again this week because student safety at dismissal continues to be a concern.
Parents who are picking up their kids from Doors 3 or 4 must get out of their vehicles and walk to the sidewalk to pick up their children.
- Children should not be asked to walk through the parking lot, cross the street, or make their way to a waiting vehicle in the parking lot or on the street on their own.
- The parking lot and surrounding roads are very busy at dismissal, and we need every family to follow these procedures to help keep our students safe.
- Please do not wait in your vehicle and ask your child to walk to you. Instead, park appropriately and walk to the designated sidewalk pick-up area.
We appreciate your cooperation and your help in making dismissal safe for all of our students.

⚖️ Community Session: Understanding Laws Supporting Faiths & Cultures in Our Schools
Parents, educators, and community members are invited to join the School District Engagement Committee (SDEC) for an informative session on Illinois laws and resources that support religious inclusion, cultural understanding, and equitable experiences for students in our schools.
